On May 13, 2023, His Grace, Archbishop Francis Leo, the newly installed Archbishop of Toronto, ordained seven new priests. Two of them, Fr. Mirko Ljuba and Fr. Carlos Alberto Torres Marquez, were formed at the Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary of Toronto. Fr. Mirko was born and raised in Croatia, while Fr. Carlos was in Colombia.
Upon their priestly ordination, they received their first assignments: Fr. Mirko has been assigned as associate pastor at St. Clare of Assisi Church in Woodbridge and Fr. Carlos as associate pastor at St. John Chrysostom in Newmarket.
